Appeal issued to beach users in Burnham area as buoy is washed up

-

A coastal research company is hoping residents in Burnham-On-Sea, Berrow or Brean will be able to find the other half of this survey buoy.

This 6ft yellow marker buoy was washed up on Brean beach this week, but the other half has gone missing somewhere in the Bristol Channel.

The owners, Titan Environmental Surveys Limited, collected the high-tech device, but are asking beach users to be on the outlook for the remaining section.

Beachwarden Dave Furber told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The marker buoy was washed up during this week’s high tides and has now been taken away by the firm – they didn’t say where it came from or what it’s been used for, but are looking for the other half!”
