Budding young chefs showed off their cooking skills during Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club’s Young Chef competition on Saturday (November 17th).
Held at King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, the youngsters were set the challenge of preparing and presenting a three-course meal in two hours within a budget of £15.
The standard was excellent and all the competitors were complimented on the standards reached and the variety of dishes on display by the judges.
Runners-up were Lauren Lewis and Luke Pople, while second was Abigail Dowell and the winner was Olivia Hunt.
The prizes were presented by Ashley Edwards, President of Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club.
Olivia will go on to represent the Burnham area at the Rotary District Competition at Westfield Academy, Yeovil on 9th February, 2019.
Spokesman David Stickels said: “We wish her the very best of luck. Burnham Rotary Club is once again delighted to be working with staff and young people at King Alfred School Academy.”
