Budding young Jamie Olivers from the Burnham-On-Sea area are brushing up on their culinary skills as they prepare to compete in a local cooking competition this coming weekend.
King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge will be hosting the annual Rotary District Young Chef Competition on Saturday.
Students will bake a variety of dishes at the school in a competition organisers by the Rotary Club of Burnham-On-Sea.
“The District Young Chef Competition will see them have just two hours to prepare a three-course healthy meal for two people costing less than £20, judged on the menus, costings and the health benefits,” said a spokesman.
Principal Nathan Jenkins said: “We are very excited to see students battling it out and showing off their culinary skills.”
