150 vintage cars join Brent Knoll event to raise thousands for charity

-

More than 150 classic cars took part in a fundraising vintage vehicle run through the Burnham-On-Sea area on Sunday (April 21st).

The Brimar Vintage and Classic Car Run was held in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) and ended at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll.

The vehicles went on show at the garden centre, as pictured here, after arriving from Congresbury. They were started by BBC Points West presenter Alex Lovell.

Organisers Mary Curtis and her husband Brian, from Street, said this year’s event was bigger than ever.

Mary told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had more than 150 classic and vintage cars taking part and were delighted with the support of the drivers and onlookers.”

“Last year, the display raised £5,288 for CHSW and we hope to have raised a similar amount again.”
