Home brewing competiton set to return at Burnham’s Food Festival

-

Home brewers are being encouraged to enter their beers and ales into the third ‘Great Burnham Brew Off’ at the town’s Food and Drink Festival in May.

The home brewing competition will return as part of the Spring Burnham-On-Sea Food and Drink Festival taking place on May 24th.

The competition is free to enter and has classes for cider, kit wine and hedgerow wines.

Festival Director Bev Milner Simonds said: “This is a fun competition with all home brewers encouraged to look out a bottle of their top-tipple and bring it along to The Princess Theatre before 2.30pm on 24th May for judging. We want to thank Balliihoo for their support as a sponsor this year – the task of judging is a tough one and we are pleased their team have volunteered their palettes.”

Competition sponsors Balliihoo said: “As a local firm we wanted to get behind this competition to find the best home brewed cider and wines in Somerset. We have heard so many stories of people boasting that their brew is the best – but now is the time to put those bottles to the test.”
