More than 130 runners from across the South West took part in a gruelling race from Burnham-On-Sea to the top of Brent Knoll and back on Sunday (November 26th).

The annual Brent Knoll Run was won by Chris McMillan from Weston in a fast time of 36 minutes and 31 seconds.

The first local finisher was Charlie Owen from Burnham Harriers running club in 42:33. Click here for the full Brent Knoll Run 2017 Results.

Co-organiser Stuart Anderson from Burnham Harriers Running Club said club was pleased with the turnout and how the event had gone.

“Everyone seemed to ‘enjoy’ the race, the weather helped and it was less muddy than previous years!” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The Brent Knoll Run has been held for more than 20 years, having originally started as an event attached to Brent Knoll’s summer fete.
