The owner of a pub near Burnham-On-Sea which has suddenly ceased trading has this week said that its future is safe.
The Brent Knoll Inn in East Brent shut its doors suddenly earlier this month, but its owner, Enterprise Inns, says it will re-open again shortly.
The firm’s Amy Dolphin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We would like to reassure residents that the Brent Knoll Inn has only closed temporarily following the publicans’ decision to cease trading.”
“We have already appointed a new publican and we aim for the pub to resume trading in the next few weeks.”
There had been concerns from local people that the closure may be permanent, joining a list of local pub closures.
