A Brent Knoll pub is to hold a fundraising tug-of-war in aid of a Burnham-On-Sea charity today (Bank Holiday Monday, May 31st).
Teams of six people are being sought for the Brent Knoll Inn’s annual tug-of-war, which will be held during its four day beer festival.
The event will start at 2pm and entry costs £10 per team in aid of BARB, the Burnham rescue hovercraft charity, with a £100 prize for the winning team. To register a team of six, call licensees Linda or Barry De Santiz on 01278 760335.
Barry told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’re delighted to be continuing the traditional tug-of-war here during our festival weekend, raising money for an excellent local cause. We’re keen for tug-of-war teams of all abilities to take part.”
The pub will also have over 15 cask ales plus local ciders on sale during its beer festival, which started on Friday May 28th and runs through until Bank Holiday Monday.
