Brent Knoll hotel re-opens this week with new owners following major refurbishment

-

The former Battleborough Grange hotel at Brent Knoll re-opens this week with new owners and a new name following a major refurbishment.

Called The Grange, the new hotel is owned by two Bristol property entrepreneurs who have upgraded the interior of the building and made a number of improvements to the property.

“We have completed a substantial four-month refurbishment of the hotel, introducing a new look and feel that makes The Grange ideal for hotel stays and special functions,” they told Burnham-On-Sea.com at the opening evening.

The refurbishment included a new roof at the front, plus decorating and painting, new bar areas, and an upgraded range of 26 hotel rooms. “These include superior doubles through to family rooms, and even a loft suite over two floors – all with unique styles,” they add.

Head chef Gary Dallas previously worked in the Royal family’s kitchen, and is used to preparing quality dishes for VIPs.

“We have worked hard to source local suppliers and pride ourselves on quality. We are excited to unveil a really special menu – it’s a real break from the usual fare, and I takes guests on an amazing food journey.”

“The menu ranges from duck breast and fillet steaks to fresh fish and local Somerset pork belly steaks.”

The Barn restaurant serves breakfast from 7am each day, with lunches available from 12pm, and evening meals from 6-9.30pm, plus afternoon teas every day.

They add: “It’s an exciting new venture for us after a busy few months completing the renovations.”
