An evening of amusing anecdotes from a former primary school head teacher will entertain an audience at a special fundraising event in Brent Knoll on February 5th.
A three-course meal will be followed by an after-dinner speech by Brian Freestone, pictured, who promises a number of fascinating and funny tales.
The event, called Crumbs from the Headmaster’s Table!, will be held at 7.30pm on Saturday 5th February in aid of both Children’s Hospice South West and Brent Knoll Parish Hall.
Tickets, costing £10 per head, are available from organiser John Page on 01278 760986. A sit-down meal, home cooked by several local chefs, will be served by waiters and a bar will also be available.
“Brian survived the course for 30 years and in that time managed to collect a wealth of funny experiences, which will undoubtedly show children in a different light, albeit a warm and humorous one,” John told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“It may also bring back memories of your own school days! In spite of the new government policies, there will be no mathematical, scientific or other tests at the end of the evening, though you are permitted to question the former head.”
