Hundreds of people flocked to Brent Knoll’s annual summer fete on Saturday (June 13th) for an afternoon of traditional music, country dancing, fun and stalls.

Organisers had kept their fingers crossed for good weather in the run-up to the event after earlier forecasts of wet weather. But fortunately those taking part saw dry and mild conditions on Brent Knoll Green.

This year’s event was opened by the village’s school head teacher Chris Burman and included performances by the Brent Knoll Primary School Dancers, the Chalice Morris Men and U3A Ukulele Band.

Spectators were also able to enjoy summertime Pimms and lemonades, pictured, and support the many different stalls and raffles.

“It was a great afternoon enjoyed by all,” organiser John Page told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “I have to admit we had one eye on the weather leading up to the start after a warning for earlier in the day, but it was fine and dry in the end.”
