Large crowds flocked to Brent Knoll’s annual fete on Saturday afternoon (June 13th).
The event, held besides the village hall, was opened by Mike Simmonds, the village’s former past master at the post office on Brent Corner.
Entertainment during the afternoon included Brent Knoll School’s dancers, the Chalice Morris Men, and traditional dancers. A special exhibition of historical Brent Knoll photos was also om show in the village hall.
There were also more than a dozen stalls on the village green offering traditional raffles, tombolas, refreshments and face painting. The event is expected to have raised a large sum for the vilage’s parish hall.
TV and film was the theme for the fancy dress competition. Seen here are Sarah Joyce, Eddie Fuller, Bob Filmer, John Page and Elaine Fuller in their costumes
