Over £8,000 was raised when hundreds of people attended a ball near Burnham-On-Sea to raise funds for a local breast cancer support charity.
The annual Somerset Breast Cancer Now Ball, held at the Batch Country House in Lympsham, had a patriotic theme of ‘Ball Britannia – the Best of British!’ and the audience dressed accordingly!
Chairperson Holly MacBeth saidL “We raised over £8,000 at our ball on 3rd December which is such an amazing amount, beating all past seven balls we have held.”
“This was due to the huge generosity from our 290 guests and supporters on the night and the amazing sponsors who donated to the event for our live auction and raffle. Without them this could not be possible.”
“I’m thrilled at what we have achieved this year, raising over £30,000 for Somerset Breast Cancer Now from this year’s events and we look forward to some more fun and outrageous events in 2017!”
The guests dressed as their favourite British Icons and even favourite British landmarks.
