A new disco waterslide and toddlers swimming pool has been opened at Brean Splash.
The toddler pool, which is 10m x 4m, is open during certain public sessions and is also the base for baby and toddler swimming lessons.
The new facilities have resulted in four new employment vacancies for local people within the waterpark, which now employs 45 team members.
“The new toddler pool is a fantastic addition to the complex,” Andy Holt, Brean Splash’s Swim School manager, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We’ve seen a real growth in toddler lessons over the past year and now with this shallower and warmer pool we have the perfect facility for younger swimmers to gain confidence in the water.”
The swim school has over 370 children enrolled in it, as well as providing swimming lessons for six local schools.
As well as the new toddler pool, work to add a second indoor slide to the complex has been completed. The new ‘disco slide’ features selectable music tracks and disco lights within the tube that the rider chooses just before they go down the slide.
“We wanted to create something a little different with the slide,” added Sarah House, Park Director.
“The Rainbow rings slide that we added last year proved to be really popular and we’re sure the Disco slide will be just as bit a hit with our customers.”
“The music and lighting effects can be changed very easily so there’s a huge range of options to make the slide experience different for the rider on a regular basis.”
