Teenager rescued after getting trapped on Brean rollercoaster ride
A teenager was rescued by fire and ambulance crews after getting trapped on a rollercoaster ride in Brean last night (Sunday).
Emergency services were called to Brean Leisure Park in Coast Road shortly after 8pm.
A fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to a report of a young female trapped within the footwell of a rollercoaster car.”
“The 15-year-old female was medically trapped in the footwell of a rollercoaster cart. Crews worked with paramedics to release her.”
The front of the rollercoaster carriage was removed using a reciprocating saw and small tools to release the teenager from the cart.
One fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea attended alongside a rescue tender from Taunton. The girl was released into the care of the ambulance crew.
