Organisers of the annual Brean Stages Rally are gearing up for the 15th annual event, which is set to roar into action during January 2011.
The K&R Mitsubishi Stages Rally will be held during the weekend of January 22nd and 23rd.
The action-packed rally will be held entirely within the confines of Brean Leisure Park and will see 75 rally cars tackle 12 special stages over two days.
The rally, promoted by Club Rallysport West, will form the opening round of the Association of South Western Motor Clubs and the Cotswold Motor Sport Group.
The event has been held every year since 1997 has proved popular with both competitors and spectators alike. Among the entries for 2011 will be drivers out to defend their 2010 championship titles who hope to kick start the new championship year in winning style.
The rally will contain a range of cars, from the ever popular Ford Escorts in various guises, Vauxhall Nova’s, Corsa’s, and Peugeots, through to the more exotic, state of the art World Rally Cars, such as the Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Evo’s, and Ford Focus.
The organisers are again planning to ensure that spectators are well looked, with covered seated grandstand and heated al-fresco snacks available in the spectator areas. All other indoor catering facilities will also be available within the park.
Spectators will be admitted to the park over both days of the rally by way of a car parking charge only, which will includes a souvenir rally programme incorporating a programme draw for a three-night break at the holiday park in 2011.
The rally will be supporting Help for Heroes and local charity Highbridge Dreamscheme.
