A total of 86 rally teams are set to take part in the 2008 Brean Rally, which roars into action this weekend.
The entry list for the popular event was published this week – and last year’s winners David Kynaston and co-driver Andy Russell will compete from the start of the grid in their Audi A3 Quatro.
The event will again be held at Brean Leisure Park, with leg one taking place on Saturday 26th January featuring six stages and leg two on Sunday 27th January featuring a further six stages – making a total of 52 miles of rallying.
Spectators are being invited to watch the action on both days and can be admitted to the park by car parking only, which costs £15 per car.
The gates open for spectators at 8am on both days, with the first car starting at 10am. The first car is due to finish each day at approximately 3.30pm.
Organiser Rod McKenna of Weston Motor Club told Burnham-On-Sea.com he is “delighted” with the response and intertest in this year’s event. “We’re looking forward to a great weekend of rallying,” he said.
Highbridge-based UK Farm Finance Ltd is the event’s sponsor for 2008, while West Country Motorsport Rescue will benefit from charity collections at the event.
