A new £2.1m children’s indoor play centre was officially opened in Brean on Saturday (September 20th).
The new indoor soft play centre and splash area – called Brean Play – was partially open for the summer holidays but the formal ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Saturday at Brean Leisure Park.
The park is the biggest investment yet by the House family, pictured above, who own the park, and it provides an all year round play facility for children aged from 1-11.
“We have spent a lot of time researching soft play facilities across the UK and Europe and have opened a real fun experience for children open in all weather,” Kieran Spottiswoode, park director, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The main play structure features slides, trampolines, a fun ball cannon zone and a large web climbing tower, all spread across multiple decks of play equipment.
As well as a large cafe and spectator area, Brean Play also includes several party rooms on the mezzanine floor for birthday parties and other functions.
As well as the opening of Brean Play, the new development also sees the addition of an indoor extension to the Brean Splash swimming pool which features a shallow fun pool with water slides and interactive water features.
