Registration is now open for the 2017 Brean Down Ramble, which will be held this autumn in aid of Childrens Hospice South West.
This family-friendly sponsored walk will be held on Sunday September 3rd, starting at 10.30am from outside the Tavern at Brean Leisure Park.
Two distances are offered: the longest route follows a delightful trail along the beach to Brean Cove, then over Brean Down to enjoy the fabulous views on the walk to Brean Fort and back (7.5 miles in total).
Those that don’t fancy the hilly Brean Down section may turn around at Brean Cove (5 miles in total).
Participants are invited to take their time and enjoy walking along the coastline. Refreshments are available on route or walkers can bring a picnic.
“By taking part you’ll help to raise vital funds to support the families who use Childrens Hospice South West,” says organiser Mike Barsby.
“The sponsorship you raise will help Childrens Hospice South West continue to provide care for children who are not expected to live into adulthood, as well as support for their family.”
“This sponsored walk is open to people of all ages from children to grandparents and sponsored dogs are especially welcome!”
“Registration is free. The earlier you register the more time you have to get lots of sponsors – there is no minimum sponsorship and any amount raised is welcomed.”
For more information or to register, email mikeb@brean.com or text Mike on 07936538263. Once registered you will be provided with sponsor forms and full details.
