Brean Country & Western Festival draws visitors into village for western fun

-

Brean’s annual Country & Western Festival is underway with music and country-themed entertainment taking place across the village.

Venues across the resort are open to the public throughout the day and evening offering a wide range of entertainment, taking visitors back to the time when cowboys and Indians ruled.

Don’t be surprised if you see horses travelling down the Coast Road, with their riders in full costume, or hear the sound of gunfire coming from fast-draw competitions.

You can expect to enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment which include daily line dancing lessons.

At 1:45pm every day in the Tavern at Brean Leisure Park, the previous evening’s entertainment acts perform again, but if you are a night owl, up to and including 5th October, at 11pm each evening come along and enjoy a jamming session in the late night bar with Billy Levin & The Twang Daddies – don’t forget to bring your own instrument if you play.

Various stalls are also open throughout the day in several locations across Brean, including the Seagull pub and Brean Leisure Park, selling a wide range of fashion and memorabilia.

As well as entertainment at RJ’s and The Tavern, venues across Brean including The Beachcomber and The Seagull also have full programmes of entertainment available for the public to come along and enjoy as we join together to celebrate the finale weekend of this popular festival.
