Brean and Berrow beach clean to be held today – get involved!

-

A spring clean is being held on Brean and Berrow beaches today (Saturday, March 24th).

Volunteers are being sought for the event, meeting at the main Holiday Resort Unity park reception at 10am.

Those taking part should wear a pair of thick gloves. Litter bags will be provided. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs are welcome too.

Holiday Resort Unity, which incorporates Brean Leisure Park, Brean Play, Brean Splash and Brean Golf Club, says it it’s committed to helping look after the local environment.

Last year, it was awarded the Gold accolade in the David Bellamy Conservation awards and a ‘Highly Commended’ accolade in sustainable tourism.

The team have recently met with Tanya Cox, the Litter Free Coast and Sea Coastal Officer for the Burnham-On-Sea area, about further ways to get involved and support a litter free coast for Brean.

Those taking part can enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee in The Tavern afterwards. All local families that take part will also receive discount vouchers to Brean Play and Brean Splash.
