Brean and Burnham-On-Sea cyclists set off on four-day charity ride to Paris

-

Four Brean holiday park employees who work at Holiday Resort Unity have this week set off on an epic challenge to raise money for Bristol charity Above & Beyond.

The team set off on a 480km cycle trip from Bristol to Paris on Wednesday (September 11th) alongside 50 riders with the aim of completing the whole challenge over four days before enjoying the sights of Paris and returning by Eurostar.

Sarah House, Director who is one of those taking part in the challenge, commented: “Each year within the business we raise lots of money for a range of local charities through different fundraising events.”

“As well as continuing to do this we wanted a physical challenge of our own, so to do this for charity, and to help make a difference, will make the training and experience so much more worth it.”

Above & Beyond raise funds for Bristol city centre’s nine hospitals, including the BRI Children’s Hospital. An online fundraising page has been set up and the team will provide updates on their progress at https://b2p2019.everydayhero.com/uk/team-brean

Burnham-On-Sea cyclist Paul Young is also taking part in the challenge, as reported here.
