Dozens of Burnham-On-Sea residents enjoyed a hearty breakfast with a difference on Sunday morning (July 3rd) when they tucked into their meals for a good cause.
Macmillan Cancer Support’s Burnham fundraising committee served up full English breakfasts to over 70 people during a mass fry-up.
Those taking part enjoyed bacon, sausage, black pudding, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, an egg, tea, coffee and toast – all served up in the delightful settings of the garden of fundraisers John and Shirley Endall.
“The glorious summer weather provided an added bonus as guests enjoyed their meals, chatted with friends and finished off with a glass of Bucks Fizz,” one of the organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The committee would like to thank everyone for their support – cooks, washers up and guests alike.”
In excess of £500 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support – a wonderful outcome to an event enjoyed by all.
