Seven ‘brave the shave’ in Burnham-On-Sea at charity fundraiser

-

A coffee shop in Burnham-On-Sea raised a big sum for charity by holding a special charity fundraiser on Saturday (May 28th).

Relish in College Street held a Brave the Shave event for Macmillian Cancer Support to coincide with the town’s Food Festival.

The event saw seven local fundraisers being shaved for charity, including co-owner Craig Peters, pictured here.

The team from Prim and Proper donned the scissors to perform the shaves oustide the cafe, watched by supporters.

The ‘Younique’ make-up team also came in to do mini make overs from 1-3pm with proceeds going to the charity.

A barbecue was also held outside the cafe offering hand-made burgers from local butchers with 50% of the take going to Macmillan.

The final sum raised was still being counted as this story was written – we’ll have more details when they’re announced.
