Burglars smashed their way into Burnham-On-Sea’s Boots chemist store on Easter Sunday during the THIRD raid in just 12 days.

The glass doors at the entrance to the store were smashed in Burnham High Street in the early hours of Easter morning and a large quantity of stock was stolen.

The intruders gained access to the premises in an identical way to two previous burglaries at the same store on Thursday April 13th and Monday April 3rd.

Scenes of crime investigators were at the store on Easter Sunday morning, as pictured here, gathering finger prints and removing evidence that could identify the culprits. CCTV footage is also being examined.

It comes amid a spate of commercial break-ins in Burnham-On-Sea during the past month, as first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The Children’s Society shop in the High Street and Central Garage in Berrow Road have seen late night burglaries this month in which stock has been stolen.

Police are investigating the incidents, and probing a possible link between them. They have appealed for any witnesses to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
