A brand new charitable book shop opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre on Tuesday (May 27th).
Burnham Rotary Club launched its seasonal book shop at 62 The High Street in the former Watermark Wealth Management premises towards the northern end of the High Street.
During this week’s half-term holiday period, from 27th May to 31st May, the shop is open daily, except Sunday, from 10am until 4pm.
Thereafter, it will open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until the main holiday season begins in mid-July.
The club has a good stock of books to sell, but donations of DVDs, CDs and books in good condition, especially paperbacks, will be welcomed at the shop when open.
The club regrets that it is no longer able to collect books, and that VHS videos, vinyl records and cassette tapes are not required, as there is almost no demand for them. All proceeds will be used by the Rotary Club for local charitable purposes.
Ashley Edwards, the bookshop organiser, said: “The Club is very grateful to Watermark Wealth Management for making the premises available.”
