Brean beach dog walker speaks of shock at finding male body parts

-

A dog walker has this week spoken of her shock after her dog found what she believes is a man’s body parts washed up on Brean beach.

Julie Edwards, who lives in Brean, spoke to Burnham-On-Sea.com and other media after the discovery, as reported here.

Police are yet to officially identify the object and are assisting the coroner with enquiries.

Having found the item, Julie alerted Brean’s beach warden who reported the gruesome discovery to Police.

Julie told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “My dog Molly found what I’m sure was a penis and testicles intact – I cannot think how it would be anything else. It was a shock as I didn’t expect to find anything like that.”

“I took a photo and took it to the beach warden to show him and he called the Police. It’s very sad to think that it could be someone’s relative.”

Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com their investigation is ongoing and that it could be several weeks before more is known.
