A Burnham-On-Sea blood donor has this week been praised for notching up his 50th donation.
Nick Wynn, pictured, was presented with a gold award by the NHS to mark his milestone.
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I feel proud to have donated 50 times and intend to carry on giving as long as I can.”
“I started when my father needed a life-saving operation at the BRI hospital in Bristol. It demonstrated the need for people to give blood.”
“More recently, my brother, Paul Wynn had a heart attack which again reminded me of the importance of giving blood.”
Regular blood donor sessions are held at the Princess Theatre in Burnham’s Princess Street.
