These are the stunning ‘birds-eye views’ of Burnham-On-Sea that a microlight enthusiast saw when he glided over the town on Wednesday evening (October 6th).
High-flying Jeff Thomas was soaring by at 1,000 feet when he snapped the photos of the town’s beach and seafront at high tide during a pleasure flight.
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Taking pictures is a drafty affair since it’s necessary to fly with the window open to get a good photograph without picking up reflections or distortions from the window, but flying slowly at around 50-60 mph helps mitigate this! There were a number of people strolling along the waterline between Brean Down and Burnham, brought out I imagine by a combination of a pleasant evening and the very high tide.”
