Residents in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge have been urged to get in touch with police if they are offered a cheap electric bicycle following a theft early on Saturday (December 6th).
The high-end bike, similiar to the one pictured here, is worth around £800 and was stolen from a shed in the garden of a home in East Avenue, Highbridge.
Police say the bike – a Salisbury LPX Electronic Bicycle – had a black saddle bag behind the seat and a number of high-visibility beads on the front wheel spokes.
“With Christmas coming, it’s likely that the thief will try to sell the bike so we’d ask people to let us know if they see it being offered locally,” said a spokesman.
Police are asking residents with information to contact them via 101.
