Fundraising bike run raises cash for Burnham-On-Sea charity

-

Dozens of motorcyclists took part in a fundraising bike ride in aid of a Burnham-On-Sea charity on Sunday (May 22nd).

Somerset Motorcycle Group organised the 100 mile bike run, which started from Highbridge’s Bristol Bridge Inn and finished on Burnham seafront.

Organiser Norman Templeman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a good turnout of motorcyclists for this event and thank everyone who supported us.”

“The weather was very changeable – we had torrential rain that delayed the start before the sun came out for the remainder of the day. Everyone had a great time.”

The bikers travelled from Highbridge to Ilminster then went on to Podimore, Shepton, Wells, Cheddar, Weston and ended in Burnham.

Over £120 was raised for hovercraft rescue charity BARB (Burnham Area Rescue Boat) from the group. The next fundraising bike ride will be held on June 12th.
