The first in a series of weekly fundraising bike nights got underway in Burnham-On-Sea on Tuesday evening (April 1st).
Over 50 bikers gathered at the top end of Burnham’s Morrisons car park on the seafront to raise money for good causes.
The bikers are gathering from 6-9pm every Tuesday night until the end of September with donations from the bikers and members of the public being collected for local charities.
Organiser Phil Hayward from the ‘Bike Knights’ group, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s great to be back here again for another season and, alongside some returning faces, it’s good to be welcoming some new riders along.”
“All bikes and trikes are very welcome to join us and members of the public are encouraged to come along to see the bikes.”
The group’s treasurer John Cattell said last year’s bike nights – which were held in memory of Dylan Cecil, the four year-old boy who died after falling from the town’s jetty in 2012, has raised £250 for BARB, £250 for the RNLI, £250 for the air ambulance, £300 for BOS Jobs and £100 for the Dylan Memorial Fund.
