Six young athletes from Burnham-On-Sea’s Junior Triathlon Academy are celebrating success this week after representing Great Britain at a leading biathle event in Austria.
Six international vests, 2 gold medals and one silver medal were captured by the members during the World Tour Biathle Series (Run/Swim/Run) in Gratz, Austria.
Olivia Earthy (King Alfred) and Alex Scott (Hugh Sexeys) both won Gold and became World Tour Biathle Champions! India Porter (St Andrew’s) is the runner up!
Huge congratulations also go to Lucas Earthy (St Andrew’s) for finishing 4th, and Hannah Carter (Hugh Sexeys) getting a 4th and Oliver Scott (Mark First School) getting a 5th.
Coaches Martin Rogers and Paul Hazelton said they are “extremely proud” of them. “There were fantastic were achieved by all of them – phenomenal results – and they get our congratulations.”
