This prominent former nursing home on Burnham-On-Sea seafront could soon be turned into a new guesthouse under plans submitted this week.
Beverley Cottage residential care home, situated on the North Esplanade, has been vacant since owners Brunelcare close down the facilities in 2009 due to financial pressures.
A couple from Oxfordshire, who soon hope to purchase the property, have submitted a ‘change of use’ application to convert it from a care home into a guest house incorporating owner’s accommodation.
The plans were received by Sedgemoor District Council on Tuesday (March 29th) and will be considered by its planning department and town councillors during coming weeks.
