Part of Burnham-On-Sea’s Berrow Road is closed for a week’s roadworks from today (Monday).
Berrow Road is closed for a week from March 7th from the junction with Allandale Road, northwards for a distance of 170 metres.
“Wessex Water will be carrying out lining of the main foul sewer to address structure and service problems,” explaind a spokesman.
While local motorists will use Rectory Road and Stoddens Road to quickly drive around the closed section, Somerset County Council has published its recommended nine-mile diversion route that takes traffic out of town to East Brent, as published here and illustrated below.
The Service 21 bus between Weston and Burnham will divert around Love Lane and Stoddens Road due to the Wessex Water closure.
