A busy route between Burnham-On-Sea and Berrow will be closed for two weeks next month while essential roadworks are undertaken, it has been confirmed this week.
The County Council has announced that Berrow Road will be shut to all traffic from January 11th between the junction with Links Gardens and the junction with Ash Tree Road.
The closure will allow sewer works to be carried out at a new housing development. A lengthy diversion route will be in operation, taking traffic via East Brent.
Meanwhile, Pople’s Bow in Highbridge will also temporarily close for ten days from December 14th-23rd while work is carried out to remove and repair a footbridge and restore the east bank of a rhyne.
