Berrow Primary School’s Little Learners @ Berrow learn about the great outdoors

-

Berrow Primary School’s Little Learners @ Berrow have been learning about the great outdoors while enjoying a wide range of fun activities.

The preschool children who attend Little Learners enjoy a large, secure outdoor area which is currently being renovated to provide children with even more opportunities to learn in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Debbie Parker, Operations Manager, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Outdoor play is vital to a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.”

“At preschool, children aged 2, 3 and 4 can explore, learn, and grow in the outdoor spaces which are designed to allow children to engage with nature, use their imagination, and develop their motor skills safely supported by the skilled practitioners.”

“The preschool children participate in structured outdoor activities such as Forest School, from exploring the natural world to team-building exercises, which encourage independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills.”

“The connection with nature nurtures creativity and a sense of wonder, making learning more engaging and meaningful.”

Little Learners @ Berrow offers early education for aged 2 years – 5 years and can accept all types of government funding.  The preschool day is 8.45am – 3.15pm with Breakfast Club and Afterschool Club available from 8.00am – 5.00pm.

For more information about a space this year or in September, contact preschool@bpca.theplt.org.uk or call 01278 783614 to arrange a visit.
