Berrow Parish Council has unveiled new plans to extend the car parking area around the village’s sports pavilion.
A planning application has been submitted to Sedgemoor District Council requesting that the 36 existing parking spaces are increased by 16 extra spaces to 52 in total.
The application proposes a “change of use from grassed area in front of the sports pavilion into stoned parking area to increase parking facilities to the village hall and sports changing facilities.”
The council says it has submitted the plans to meet growing demand for parking spaces during village hall events and sports fixtures throughout the year.
Sedgemoor District Council welcomes comments on the application – reference number 05/19/00016 – until October 7th.
