A group of fundraisers from a Berrow holiday park have taken part in a sponsored overnight sleep out this weekend to raise funds for homeless veterans.
Eight friends from Rose Farm Holiday Park slept out overnight in a Berrow field on Saturday (March 29th) despite the chilly temperatures for ‘The Great Tommy Sleep Out’.
“There are so many veterans who sadly are living on the streets that need support so we decided to do something for them,” says Mark Vowles, one of the fundraisers.
Organiser Mark Donavan told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We wanted to do our bit so the event is raising funds for the national fundraising campaign ‘The Great Tommy Sleep Out’.”
“The amount of support we’ve got has been wonderful, we thank everyone who has supported us for this important cause.”
