Spectators brave wet weather to enjoy annual Berrow Gig

-

Heavy rain depleted the crowds at the annual Berrow Gig on Saturday (August 4th), but the spectators who braved the weather were rewarded with a great afternoon’s entertainment.

The free event – formerly called Gig On The Green – was renamed the ‘Berrow Gig’ this year and held on the village’s Millennium Field, off Red Road, instead of the village green.

Run by members of the Berrow Community Association, it raised money towards the upkeep and continued improvement of Berrow Village Hall.

During the afternoon, live local music acts included Triple Vision (pictured above), Smokin Beagles, Snatch ‘n’ Co, Jazz Police and The Talk Show Hosts.

The Gig follows on from the successful Berrow Fayre earlier this year which raised in excess of £2,000 for Berrow Village Hall.
