Family fun day in Berrow today helps Burnham-On-Sea charity
A family fun day was held on Saturday (August 15th) in Berrow to raise funds for a Burnham-On-Sea based charity.
The event – held on Berrow’s Red Road playing fields – featured inflatables, gladiator jousting, face painting, a barbecue and refreshments.
There was also a special Berrow Legends vs Burnham United Legends game won by Berrow 2-0.
This was followed by Berrow’s first team taking on Chilcompton Sports in the Somerset County Premier league, which the home side won 3-2.
The event, held in aid of In Charleys Memory, was hailed a “massive success” by organisers.
Burnham teenager Charley Marks, 18, took his own life last September and the charity, In Charley’s Memory, has been created to support young people with mental health issues.
