BBC films new history TV series on Berrow beach

-

Berrow Beach was transformed back into the Iron Age this week when the BBC History unit filmed a new TV series this week.

A film crew has been busy filming a new series called ‘The Celts’ presented by Neil Oliver and Dr Alice Roberts.

The BBC chose Berrow Beach to allow Dr Roberts to enjoy the experience of riding a Celtic Chariot, pictured above.

“Once again, Sedgemoor District Council has demonstrated its ‘film friendly’ credentials by attracting this prestigious production and working closely with the BBC to help deliver the beautiful location they are looking for,” said council spokeswoman Claire Faun.

“For the two days of filming access to parts of the beach has been slightly restricted this week, but Sedgemoor District Council thanks the public for their co-operation.”
