Police have said that a pensioner has died following an accident in Berrow on Monday morning (April 30th).
The 69 year-old had been towing a caravan when he crashed in Barton Road, as pictured here.
He was airlifted to Weston General Hospital following the crash at 9.30am on Monday.
A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the incident was reported as a sudden death.
It has been passed to the coroner for investigation.
One line of enquiry is that the man may have suffered a heart attack before the accident.
Police spokeswoman Claire Stanley told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called to a serious road traffic collision in Barton Road, Berrow at around 9.30 this morning. A man driving a car towing a caravan was in collision with a wall.”
Barton Road re-opened at 12.25pm on Monday following the investigation.
