Berrow Church is celebrating a lottery funding windfall that will help it upgrade its facilities.
The church has been granted £10,000 from the Big Lottery funding scheme towards the costs of a renovation project.
Rev’d Jonathan Philpott, Priest in Charge in Berrow and Brean, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to have got this lottery funding — it’s really wonderul news!”
“We are turning our outside church building into a community facility by fully modernising it.”
“We are adding in a new kitchen and new double glazing and encouraging local groups to use it more often – we also have a new Sunday school starting in the building this month.”
