The access road onto Berrow beach has again been closed to all traffic by Sedgemoor District Council this weekend following damage caused by high tides.
As pictured below, sand has been washed away from the concrete road surface and a sharp drop has been left onto the beach that could potentially damage vehicles.
Large piles of seaweed and debris have also been washed up across the roadway, closing it.
A council spokesperson confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com the access road would be closed until contractors have resolved the matter.
Access to The Sundowner Cafe, next to the Berrow access road, is unaffected and the cafe remains open as usual.
Nearby Brean beach remains open for cars to park on the beach.
