The West Somerset Coroner’s office said on Thursday (December 14th) that the body of a man found on Berrow Beach, near Burnham-On-Sea, last weekend had been identified.
Spokesman Richard Davies said analysis of finger prints had confirmed that the body was that of Kenneth Meal, 60, of Rumney, near Cardiff.
Mr Davies told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A single man, he been living in a care environment and had suffered from poor vision. He was reported missing on November 25th when he was last seen walking towards the River Rumney.”
“Although the cause of death has not yet been established, we are not treating it as untoward or suspicious.”
The body was found on Saturday morning by a dog walker at Berrow, as reported yesterday.
