Rehearsals are underway at the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society this week as it prepares for its annual autumn show, which this year is Disney’s musical Beauty and the Beast.
The curtain will rise on the first performance at Burnham’s Princess Theatre on Saturday 20th November at 7.30pm, and then again on Sunday 21st November at 3pm.
Tickets have gone on sale this week and can be obtained by calling the box office on 01278 792520.
BEES Chairperson Dawn Gray told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will be the first BEES show performed with a live orchestra, so as we enter our 16th year, it has been a challenge to learn something new for those of us ‘old timers’.”
“The show has also created a exciting time for our new and younger members, many of whom this will be their first experience of ‘treading the boards’.”
” So, if you love favourite songs such as ‘Be Our Guest’, ‘Tale As Old As Time’ and of course ‘Beauty and the Beast’, we hope to see you at the Princess on November 20th or 21st to enjoy our show.”
