Final rehearsals are underway at a Burnham-On-Sea drama group, which is preparing to perform its annual show this weekend.
The Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES) are performing the hit musical Annie at The Princess Theatre on Saturday September 9th and Sunday September 10th.
Around 25 performers are taking part, which will be held at 7.30pm on the Saturday night and 3pm on the Sunday afternoon. The lead role of Annie will be played by talented young actress Emily Lang on Saturday and Jana Walters is playing Annie on Sunday.
BEES is a self-funded group consisting of more than 30 actors and actresses and a further six members who work behind-the-scenes.
It is one of Somerset’s longest running drama groups and celebrated its 12th anniversary this year.
Tickets for Annie are available on the door of the Princess at £6.50 for adults and £5 for concessions. Alternatively, they can be purchased in advance, at £5 for adults and £4 for concessions, by calling the ticket hotline on 01278 792520.
