Burnham-On-Sea bed salesman becomes UK’s first sleep graduate

-

A Burnham-On-Sea bed shop employee has become the very first person in the UK to graduate from the Sleep Council Sales Academy.

Matt Scott from Scott’s Home Furnishers in Victoria Street completed a new training programme, designed to provide bed retailers with sleep related knowledge to go with their product expertise.

Matt told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’m honoured to be the very first graduate of this industry initiative. Bed retailers are well versed at explaining the features and benefits of the different products that they sell.”

“However, understanding more about sleep and advising customers how choosing certain types of product, changing their sleep environment, bedtime routine and even what they eat and drink can all help them achieve better sleep is what it’s about. I’m now much better placed to offer this advice to my customers.”

Matt was presented with his academy certificate by Paul Little, as pictured, who is sales director from Wellington-based bed manufacturer Relyon.

Paul was part of the working party from the National Bed Federation which sponsored the introduction of the Sleep Council Sales Academy.
