Glowing report from inspectors for Burnham-On-Sea care home

-

A Burnham-On-Sea care home run by a charity has been given glowing praise after a visit by a group of inspectors.

Beaufort House in Rectory Road is run by the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and has up to 32 residents – many of whom have a connection with farming.

Inspectors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent health and social care regulator, recently made an unannounced routine visit.

In their report they say the home fulfilled the CQC’s highest requirements of meeting all five major standards: consent to care and treatment, care and welfare, cleanliness and infection control, staffing, and quality assessment and monitoring.

RABI Chief Executive Paul Burrows told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Congratulations go to home manager Sue Luck and her team in continuing their wonderful work. Beaufort House is a flagship for our charity and we are very proud of its achievements.”

In addition to running Beaufort House, RABI is a grant-making charity which helps farming people of all ages. Support is offered in confidence and includes, for example, one-off or regular grants and the provision of essential household items and disability equipment, as well as funding for relief farm staff and training.
